
Book proposals submitted for consideration by The Armarium Press acquisitions department must include the following materials and information:
1) Manuscript Overview
a) A one-to-two page outline and/or table of contents, and
b) a two-to-five page summary of the proposed book’s content.
2) Market Potential
a) A description of the author’s target audience, including its size, and
b) a description of how this particular book would meet that audience’s needs.
3) The Competition
a) A list of the proposed book’s closest competitors already on the market (including authors’ names, page counts and prices, and the books’ success if known), and
b) a paragraph explaining why the proposed book is different from those on the list.
4) Writing Samples
a) Two sample chapters of the manuscript in question, or
b) several examples of the author’s previously published work.
5) Author’s Qualifications
a) A biographical statement for the author, and
b) an explanation of why the author is the ideal person to write the proposed book.

not acknowledge receipt of
unsolicited proposals by either telephone or e-mail.
Response time for unsolicited proposals is eight to
12 weeks. Include
a self-addressed envelope
with sufficient postage if you would
like the proposal returned.
